World No Tobacco Day
- This day is observed annually around the world on 31 May.
- The day aims at informing the public about the dangers of using tobacco and the business practices of tobacco companies.
- The theme for this year is "Commit to Quit".
It is one of 11 official global public health campaigns by the WHO, which was launched in 1987 when the WHO's World Health Assembly passed a resolution on 7 April 1988 for 'World Smoking Prohibition Day'.
