Three-Language FormulaContinues as per NEP 2020, with greater flexibility. Students can choose 3 languages, two of which must be native Indian languages.
NEP 2020 GuidanceEmphasises constitutional values, regional aspirations, and multilingualism. Hindi is not mandated but remains an option like English.
ImplementationNew rules will be framed based on student strength and availability of language teachers.
Three-Language Formula DetailsFirst language: Mother tongue or regional language. Second language: Hindi or English in non-Hindi states, other modern Indian languages or English in Hindi states. Third language: English or modern Indian language.
