Statue Details- Height: 91 feet (including 10-foot pedestal), making it the tallest statue of Shivaji Maharaj in India.<br>- Cost: ₹31.75 crore.<br>- Material: Stainless steel framework, M50 grade concrete, stainless steel bars.<br>- Design & Safety: Verified by IIT Mumbai.<br>- Sculptor: Ram Sutar's company.
ObjectiveTo inspire future generations and boost tourism and development in the Sindhudurg region.
About Shivaji Maharaj- Born: 19 February 1630, at Shivneri Fort, Pune.<br>- Title: Chhatrapati, founder of the Maratha Empire.<br>- Key Battles: Battle of Pratapgad, Pavan Khind, Surat, Purandar, Sinhagad, Sangamner.<br>- Administration: Introduced Ashtapradhan, abolished Jagirdari System, implemented Ryotwari System, built a strong naval force.<br>- Legacy: Known for guerrilla warfare tactics and resistance against the Mughal Empire.
Rajkot Fort- Built: 1664-1667 by Shivaji Maharaj in Malvan, Maharashtra.<br>- Purpose: Part of coastal defense strategy, protecting trade routes.<br>- Historical Significance: Integrated into Sindhudurg Fort complex; British treaty in 1766 led to shipbuilding yard establishment.
