C-DOT celebrated its 40th Foundation Day. The Function was Inaugurated by Shri Devusinh Chauhan, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications, Government of India
- Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier Telecom R&D centre of the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications observed its 40th Foundation Day celebration on 25 August 2023
- Minister of State for Communications also inaugurated C-DOT’s TRINETRA - Enterprise Security Operation Centre (ESOC)
TRINETRA
- Objective: Providing end-to-end security solution to the organisations for detection, analysis and mitigation of cyber security threats is a combination of multiple Security systems:
- Security information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR)
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- User Entity and Behaviour Analytics (UEBA)
- Multi-Source Threat Intelligence and others.
- It also performs security evaluation of organization’s IT assets by protecting endpoints and giving AI enabled automated responses to the cyber threats ensuring protection of sensitive data.
The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT)
- Established in August 1984 as an autonomous Telecom R&D centre of the Dept of Telecommunication, Govt. of India.
- A registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
- A registered ‘public funded research institution’ with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
- C-DOT as a torch bearer of indigenous telecom R&D continues to develop latest technology products in areas like Optical, Switching, Wireless, Security and Network Management while also working on futuristic technologies like M2M/IOT, 5G, AI, etc.
